Joanna Bending

Joanna has most recently played series regular Dr Michelle Walton in the final series of BBC’s ‘Doctors’. She also played Jackie Fairweather in ‘Eastenders’.

In the past she has appeared in ‘Holby City’ and ‘Casualty’ (BBC), ‘Coronation Street’ (ITV), ‘Red Rose’ (Netflix) and recurring character Dr Alex Burham in ‘Eastenders’.

She was also in ‘The Sarah Jane Adventures’, ‘Love Soup’, ‘The Angel of Death’ and of course ‘The Bill’.

Joanna’s theatrical debut was at the National in ‘The Prime of Miss Brodie’. She has since toured America in productions of ‘1984’, ‘The Odyssey’ and ‘Macbeth’. She appeared in ‘Outings’ at The Lyric, ‘Two Women for One Ghost’ at Regent’s Park and ‘Mountain Language’ at the Royal Court. She was nominated for Best Solo Performer by The Stage for her performance in ‘Hand over Fist’.

She has also appeared in the films ‘To The Grave’, ‘Holiday’, ‘Second Coming’ and ‘Tick Tock Lullaby’.
