David Levesley is a playwright who wants to make theatre part of your next big night out. His work is about nightlife, music, queerness, bodies, geopolitics and how we use technology in the 21st century. Previous work includes an official adaptation of Evelyn Waugh’s Vile Bodies at the Warwick Arts Centre and Victoria & Albert Museum (2012); a retranslation of Rossini’s La Cenerentola at the Warwick Arts Centre (2013) set in The Only Way Is Essex and sponsored by Nandos; Silent Meat at the Pleasance (2017) Seven Dials Playhouse (2019) and VAULT Festival (2020), Too Much Pills And Liquor at The Divine (2024) and Roguelike at the Hope and Anchor (2025). David is also an award-winning journalist and editor who has written for everyone from British GQ to Vice, and has also worked in multimedia storytelling and editorial strategy for Netflix, Soho House, TikTok and more.
