Robert trained at The Royal Academy of Music, graduating in 2022. Prior to this he received a first class degree in English Literature from The University of Edinburgh.
During his time at RAM he worked with Matt Ryan, Anna Girvan, Shiv Rabheru, Chrissie Cartwright and Dave Rose. His singing teacher was Mary Hammond.
While in training at the academy, he performed as an ensemble member in ‘Legacy: Maria Friedman and Friends’ at the Menier Chocolate Factory and ‘Stephen Sondheim’s Old Friends’ at the Sondheim Theatre. In his final term he played Signor Naccarelli in ‘The Light in the Piazza’ directed by Hannah Chissick and choreographed by Chris Whittaker.
Since graduating, he appeared as Father in the National Youth Music Theatre’s production of Ragtime directed by Hannah Chissick and in the BEAM Pitch for Jordan Li-Smith’s musical ‘The Boy who sailed the Ocean in an Armchair’.
In 2023, Robert trained in puppetry at the Little Angel Theatre under Oliver Hymans.
Robert is also a member of Pillow Talk Theatre’s Shortbread Improv and is an able improvisational comic.
