Claire trained at RADA and Bretton Hall. On stage she has played Mags in Handbagged, Sheila in Relatively Speaking, and Lynette/Edna/Arabella in the Damsels in Distress trilogy by Alan Ayckbourn, all at the Theatre Royal Windsor and on tour, plus Liz Essendine in Present Laughter, Clarissa in Spider's Web and Maggie in Hobson's Choice at Chesterfield Pomegranate – all for producer Paul Taylor-Mills. She also played Vivianne in the critically acclaimed Women of Twilight at the Pleasance and White Bear theatres.

Other work includes Child Z (Southwark Playhouse), Blind Eye (Theatre 503), I’m Dreaming But Am I? (Finborough Theatre) and No 1 Tours of Handbagged (Eleanor Lloyd Productions) and Funny Peculiar (Bill Kenwright Ltd). She wrote and played the title role in The Masks of Aphra Behn, playing her again in her follow-up play Oranges & Ink. Both plays gained numerous 4-star reviews and had West End runs; both were nominated for Off West End ‘OnComm’ Awards. She’s also done audio work for HarperCollins, WF Howes and Big Finish Productions. 

Screen work includes main supporting roles in numerous feature films, among them The Last Twitch, Borley Rectory, Provoked, Telling Lies and The Magic Hour. Her TV credits include guest lead in Rosamunde Pilcher (ZDF) and Tomorrow’s Times (BBC).
