Born James Morgan in Aberdare, South Wales, award winning actor and singer Morgan James has worked extensively on stage and screen. His most recent film credits include the lead role of Terry in the crime thriller, 13 Graves, for which he won Best Actor at the Palm Springs Film Festival, The Gift, The Red Zone and the Netflix Top 10 action sequel, I am Vengeance: Retaliation.

Television credits include: No 7 in Being Human (BBC 3), Richard Newland in 50 Ways to Kill your Lover (Discovery), David Jones in Aberfan (BBC1), Kurt in 6 Scenes (Channel 4) and Alistair Mitchell in Wanted (BBC1).

Morgan’s extensive stage work has included Women Beware Women (Royal Shakespeare Company), Jacob’s Death (The National Theatre Studio), 1, 60, 3600 (Regents Park), The Passion Plays (The Old Vic), Nine. The Musical (West End), F***ing Men (West End), Hamlet (West End), Richard III (Pleasance Theatre), Jeffrey Bernard is Unwell (National tour), Secret Love (National tour), The Devil Inside Him (The White Bear), The Notebook of Trigorin (The Finborough theatre), Pages – The Musical (Union theatre), Side by Side by Sondheim (Union theatre). Morgan was also the lead singer on the world tour of the theatre phenomenon Riverdance.

As a solo performer Morgan has played at many of London’s leading cabaret venues including The Crazy Coqs in Piccadilly, Pizza on the Park, The Pheasantry, The 606 Club, Blacks, Lauderdale House, Leicester Square theatre, Above the Stag and the iconic Battersea Barge. Morgan has been a regular guest with the Cwmbach Male Voice Choir, his hometown choir, singing with them at various concerts and music festivals. Morgan was honoured to sing at the London memorial service for ABC World Anchor and journalist Peter Jennings. He has also performed with the Palm Springs Opera Society in the USA.

Morgan has recently written and developed his own one-man show showcasing his acting and storytelling talents with his singing. Morgan’s show “Me and George. My Stories…His Music” tells his own stories of growing up in 1980’s/90’s Wales and his journey into the world of acting with brand new arrangements of the music of George Michael interweaved into the storytelling. Morgan has performed his show regularly at the iconic Crazy

Coqs in London’s Piccadilly Circus and plans to take it on a UK tour as well as Broadway and Los Angeles.

Morgan released the first of two albums in 2016, Morgan James Here and Now and in July 2021 released a brand-new album, Me and George. Morgan James Live in Concert. Both albums are available on Spotify, Amazon and iTunes.
